Times are tough for Hansel and Gretel’s parents. When the children’s overworked mum finds them shirking their chores and dancing, it’s the last straw. Banished to the woods, the children wander into the clutches of a wicked witch who plans to turn them into gingerbread. With only their cunning to protect them, how will they ever escape the oven?

MWO presents Humperdinck’s classic opera, sung in English and featuring MWO’s partner orchestra Ensemble Cymru.
